About
Tarnya’s Homemade is a small, family-run home bakery in Leiston, Suffolk, run by Tarnya and Chris. We started the business from a genuine love of baking and creating extra special homemade treats.
We bake everything fresh to order — from brownies, blondies, sponges, cookies and millionaire’s shortbread - to celebration cakes and wedding cakes — all made with love, care, and quality ingredients. Fully trained bakers with a 5-star food hygiene rating, we are passionate about bringing a little sweetness to Leiston and the surrounding areas.

Cake Shed
The Cake Shed is our little self-serve pick-up spot, filled with a fresh selection of homemade treats ready to grab and go. The selection changes daily and everything is always freshly baked — with the shed topped up throughout the day when stock allows, so there’s often something new to discover. Payment is simple: cash or bank transfer with with easy to follow instructions inside the shed.
Deliveries
Tarnya’s Homemade offers local deliveries at least once a week, whether it’s treats you’ve selected from the Cake Shed or pre-baked, pre-boxed goodies which we have put together as a bespoke order. Delivery boxes and items are listed on our Facebook page with full descriptions — so keep an eye out and reserve yours ASAP, as they sell out fast!
Bespoke
Tarnya’s Homemade creates bespoke cakes and cupcakes for all occasions — from weddings and birthdays to memorial services and corporate events. Every order is designed to suit you, with personalised themes, colours, messages, and finishing touches to match your vision. For business and corporate orders, we can incorporate your company logo and branding to create a professional, standout display that’s uniquely yours.

"Lovely cakes, I live in halesworth and I come all the way to leiston for these cakes. both friendly and always happy to answer and questions and so genuine. they put some goodies aside for me in case they were sold out in the cake shed which is a lovely gesture to do. definitely recommend and can’t just pick up 1 or two as selection is soo good especially with their new additions. Great people, friendly, great customer service and reasonable prices"
